Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsI had an amazing experience. Seeing new things every day and meeting lovely people along the way. I loved the trees and hearing the beautiful birds in morning. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life.
Your Best Equipment
Cheap Rivers hiking boots. Injinji toe socks paired with a normal sock over it. Hiking poles, Osprey 85 litre backpack.
Your Worst Equipment
Oztrail Nomad 2 tent. All the tent poles broke after a short time and the stitching gave way due to poor workmanship which let mosquitoes in. Due to the poor design of the tent, water leaked in at the feet.
Advice for Others
Walk your own walk and have rest days to give your body and mind a break. Invest in good reliable gear. Take min of 3L water on the 20km sections as you may not know the conditions of track ahead of you. Take your pack off every few hours, lay down to give your feet a break.
