Track Towns and Supplies
- How many days did you stay in Track Towns? 4
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? No
- Used a combination of posted boxes and supplies from towns. Can supply adequately from towns but if you want something specific best to post it ahead. Towns great for a change from dehydrated food. Coffee, cake, pub food, beer - all the things you can't carry.
- Donnelly River Village
- Pemberton

Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsEnjoy the long quiet days walking through the forest or along the beach. Appreciate when you get a hut all to yourself, but also when you get to share with other like minded people.
Your Best Equipment
Light weight Helinox chair, walking poles.
Your Worst Equipment
Everything worked well, though I was sick of porridge for breakfast every day.
Advice for Others
Plan your trip before leaving home to avoid nasty surprises. I planned pretty well but still managed to get stuck with some prescribed burns that closed parts of the track and some camp sites. Pack light and take only what you need.

- - Farout
Your Experience
- Availability of information: Great - Navigation is made easy by using the trail markers and a phone app. I used Farout, but others using the BT app were happy with that. I also had snapshots of the BT maps on my phone as backup. However, it all went bad when I dropped my phone near Balingup and shattered the screen. Lost the app and the backup map photos. Luckily the Bib is well marked and I was able to navigate using the trail markers and some educated guess work until I reached Collie and had my phone repaired.
- Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Poor - Disappointed with the lack of wildlife compared to my previous southbound end to end in Spring. Did see an echidna and emus other than at DRV.
Giants to Franklin River through red tingle forest. Easy track, coffee and carrot cake at the tree top walk, beautiful forest.
Highlight of your trip
Hard to beat the sunrise at Peaceful Bay.
