Advice for Others
Walking in August can be very wet and I found my Hoka Speedgoats to be fantastic. Very light, very comfortable, and while not waterproof found they dried out 45 minutes after it stopped raining or I finish wading.

Your Experience
- Availability of information: Excellent
- Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Good - No echidnas this time, which was sad. And the ticks in late October north of Dwellingup were not great. But the kangaroos, emus, and even snakes were lovely and the birdlife is always a highlight.
Always between Walpole and Peaceful Bay, though Pemberton to Northcliffe is also very hard to beat.
Highlight of your trip
The people I met along the way and had the pleasure, in many cases, of spending a few nights in campsites with them before going our separate ways. With many of them though phone numbers were exchanged and stayed in touch throughout the remainders of our hikes, sending messages and exchanging photographs.
