Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsWas amazing :) Should have taken some rest days to address a niggly Achilles, but enjoyed the cadence of moving each day and having the opportunity to explore something new. I hadn't completed any sections prior to doing this in one go, so everything was fresh and exciting each day
Your Best Equipment
Frogskin wetsuit pants during the flooding in Pingerup - water was freezing, but I was comfortable and warm
Your Worst Equipment
Montane Nano Pants (they wet out in the heavy storms and I was soaked)
Advice for Others
Take your time, and enjoy the experience. Even in the depth of winter, walking through hail, thunderstorms, the Gardner busting its banks and needing to wade in chest high water. Each day held moments of pure beauty - even as simple as the sun popping out for a moment during a storm and feeling the warmth on your skin. Each day on the trail brings something breathtaking

Your Experience
- Availability of information: Good
- Amount of Wildlife Encountered: Fair - Two emus wandering 15km from Donnelly that walked right past me (within cms), and a bush pig that was trying to stand dead still by the trail edge, hoping I wouldn't spot it as I walked past
Northcliffe to Walpole. As the section was flooded it was quiet on the trail, and with that much water on the track there were moments of walking through still water in the mornings that was a perfect mirror to the trees and the sky. Amazingly peaceful, and breathtaking
Highlight of your trip
The above :)
