Hello, I would like to walk few days on the Bib in June. At the moment I’ll be on my own but I would like to walk with someone interested. I have walked from Albany to Walpole and Kalamunda to Dwellingup with a friend but she’s not available this season so, I’m slowly getting organised. I would like to walk a few days between Dwellingup and Walpole – a new spot for me. Give me a call and we will work out something. I am a mature woman but quite fit.

Hi everyone, Our family will be hiking the track North to South starting at the end of August. Our kids are 9 and 13 and we’re all looking forward to the adventure.
I would like to leave a food drop at or near the intersection of the track and the Brookton Hwy to save us carrying 16 days worth of food on the first leg.
Does anyone know who could help out?
Thanks in advance.

Tyvek tent groundsheet thumbnail

For Sale: Tyvek tent groundsheet

Email events@bibbulmuntrack.org.au

Tyvek is widely used as a groundsheet for protecting the bottom of your tent. It is breathable, super light-weight, waterproof but very tough.

It is made from high density polyethylene fibres and has a similar feel to paper with a high strength to weight ratio. See www.bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=23794 for a discussion on the difference.

Sold per metre (by the whole metre) off a 2.7m wide roll.
61g per square metre, white.
$22 per metre for BTF members.
$27 per metre for non-members.

Technical data sheet available at https://insulation.com.au/data-sheet-download?pid=4459.

This style (homewrap) is more waterproof, more durable and therefore longer lasting than the 1443r style of Tyvek (which is more suited to waterproof stuff sacks).

Please note that the Tyvek is not held at or sold through the Bibbulmun Track Foundation office.
