Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- Dehydrated 92 meals at home for evening meals. Boxed these and left at accommodation places, visitor centres, and some with friends and family. Was very thankful for track towns where we bought supplies for lunches and snacks to add to food supply. We also stayed and enjoyed track town hospitality and freshly cooked meals.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsHusband Bob walked with me Albany to Dwellingup. Niece Marie walked with me from Harvey Quindanning Rd to Kalamunda. Nice to have their company rather than do a solo trip.
Your Best Equipment
Mac-Pac Pertec waterproof pants and jacket. Jet Boil.
Your Worst Equipment
The charging lead for the power pack. It Failed. Memo to take a spare next time.
Advice for Others
Preparation or prior knowledge can never be over emphasised.

Your Experience
Dwellingup to Chadora was a lovely stretch for me, it was damp with dew and the history of early settlements was evident. Though it was my first section with out Bob's company, the weather and conditions lightened my spirits and the track was easy to negotiate, allowing my niece and myself to be rewarded with an early arrival to a lovely campsite at Chadora.
Highlight of your trip
Track Angel (son Peter) meeting us with a resupply box plus subway lunch, fresh fruit, wine and all the trimmings at Gringer Creek. Also supported by other family members paying us a surprise visit. We also had a surprise ending with a family gathering at the northern terminus, even presenting us with medals and witnessing my ringing of the bell.
