Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- Electrolyte in drinking water every day, dehydrated food from Radix, a NZ company, soups, breakfast bars, porridge, museli, snickers, gorp, moo cow cheese, crackers and my favourite lunch, peanut butter slugs with melba toasts plus eating really well in local towns and at DRV.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsIt started out as a couple of day walks, then an overnighter followed by a section before I realised I was totally addicted and that a sectional E2E was actually achievable. Many thanks to the BTF and the volunteers for making this walk the great experience it is.
Your Best Equipment
All of it really. My 26 year old sleeping bag keeping me warm, my puffy jacket and my comfy S2S mattress, my merino clothes, rain jacket and my hiking poles, the Osprey backpack and Topo Trailventure boots. Toe socks and blister plasters! The Moonlight tent we used to begin with followed by the Tarpent which was much lighter.
Your Worst Equipment
my short handled toothbrush and having Optus as my mobile service provider
Advice for Others
keep it light if you can and be ruthless, don't carry anything you won't use. 10-13 kg including food and water. Enjoy each location including the towns along the way.

Your Experience
The first couple of hours walking of every day, the earlier the better. Peaceful Bay to Walpole for sheer wonder but also Dwellingup to Collie during the wildflower season. The isolation of the West Cape Howe section.
Highlight of your trip
Finally arriving at each hut for the night! The dawn chorus, especially noticeable in the Pemberton section.
