Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- Some of the towns could be much more equipped for thru hikers. We didn’t have any supply boxes as we wanted to support the towns. Dwellingup and Balingup made re supply a bit hard and very expensive
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsWhat an amazing track, so diverse and great views, huts and people for the whole length!
Your Best Equipment
Tier Gear quilt, Pa’lante pack, Zpacks triplex and Patagonia sun stretch
Your Worst Equipment
Cascade mountain tech poles, got us through but definitely need an upgrade
Advice for Others
My advice to anyone attempting this thru hike is take it slow in the beginning, find your rhythm and hike your own hike. Smile everyday and be kind to others. My other piece of advice would be to strongly consider trail runners
