Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsI had walked many sections previously but it was great to stitch together all those experiences and stories by completing an E2E.
Your Best Equipment
My MSR Tent - Hubba Hubba. It is great in warm or really cold weather and in strong winds. We love sleeping in it witherout the fly, with only the mesh inner, and looking at the stars. Jet Boil MiniMo- After some difficulties on another walk we received really great service from Sea to Summit. Thanks!
Advice for Others
We walked a section in the South in summer and even though we were a long way south we had to stop, leave the track, and wait SIX DAYS for the weather to cool before continuing. It was a bit frustrating but really important for our safety and out of respect for emergency services people who may be called on to rescue walkers in extreme situations.
Trip Details
How you completed the Bibbulmun Track:- All at once
- Who did you complete the Track with? Other - Nic Compton
- Was undertaking your hike the PRIMARY/MAIN purpose of your TRAVEL from where you currently live? No
Your Experience
Frankland of course! (It's our maintenance section). However we were also blown away by the Northern Jarrah forests, the area around Mt Cook and around Dwellingup especially. The wildflowers and wildlife were amazing.
Highlight of your trip
Just being disconnected from our work and from technology (most of the time- we used a tracking device with messaging capacity for safety reasons).
