Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- We had the best support. Our friends rallied to meet up with us to provide lunches and food drops. We were grateful to only carry a maximum of 5 days worth of food at any one time. The organisation of our food parcels was a high priority before we started. Track towns were important fresh food supply stops. Don't forget to have lots of DEET with you.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsVery challenging and amazing, all at once! If the track was cleared wider then it might mitigate all the common hazards - mosquitoes, snakes, ticks and march flies - perhaps!
Your Best Equipment
Our modified 2 litre milk container, it was our water jug, shower, sink, fruit bucket and all round handy item.
Your Worst Equipment
Achilles tendon, and one of our backpacks just really wasn't up to the task, it just wasn't comfortable.
Advice for Others
Lot's of prep before you go. Enlist friends and family to support you along the way if possible.
