Track Towns and Supplies

Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
Towns and businesses along the way are making a genuine effort to support Bibb track walkers. Although I employed a hybrid resupply strategy (food parcels sent to Visitor's Centres, supplemented with purchases along the way) next time I'm going to rely almost exclusively on supplies bought in towns along the track.

Your Story or Advice for Others

General Comments
WA can be very proud of this one - so much more than a line drawn on a map! I was impressed with the vision and the audacity needed to get such a project off the ground, as well as the commitment and constant effort required to maintain and upgrade a track of this length. A huge thanks to everyone who has played a part in making the Bibb a reality and a continuing success.

Your Best Equipment
Tied for MVP between my Inov8 trail-runners and my Black Diamond Distance Carbon FLZ trekking poles. Ridiculously durable given their seemingly flimsy construction. I'm convinced both would easily make it back to Kalamunda.

Your Worst Equipment
The toothbrush I cut in half to save weight.

Advice for Others
People will choose to hike the Bibb in their own way, at their own pace, and with as heavy or as light a load as they see fit to carry. While respecting the natural environment and the experience of fellow track users, feel free to hike your own hike.

I loved it all. The Bibb slowly transitions through different environments which ensures there's always something new and engaging to draw your interest.

Highlight of your trip
Conversations with white-tailed black cockatoos, watching pods of dolphins surf for no other reason than the sheer pleasure of it, the cooked breakfast at Karri Valley resort!
