Track Towns and Supplies
- Did you have any issues finding food/supplies? Yes
- Plenty of good resupply options along the track - even for Veggies. I didn't do supply drops and there were no issues.
Your Story or Advice for Others
General CommentsA great walk - that showcases the best of what remains of the South West. The Foundation, WA government, and Parks work together beautifully for an iconic walk.
Your Best Equipment
Lightweight everything. Good carbon walking poles. Combination of light running rain jacket and poncho-tarp was fantastic.
Your Worst Equipment
Too many clothes initially - half of which were posted home before mid point. Long pants were not needed - good shorts and gaiters do the trick.
Advice for Others
Load up a heavy pack and do three or four day-long back-to- back walks around hills and preferably in rain to iron out any gear/body issues. Even in October it can get really cold at night in the shelters - light puffer jacket (Tassie Tux) and beanie are musts.
