Though the trail may be temporarily off-limits, planning now means being ready when the opportunity arises—just like during the post-COVID travel resurgence. Then, journey to Eastern Europe as we explore the Via Transilvanica, Romania’s newly completed long-distance trail, officially marked in 2023. Winding through majestic mountains, remote villages, and stunning wilderness, this path opens a door to a once-closed world. Experience the joy of local hospitality, travel by horse and cart, encounter wildlife like bears, and marvel at some of the best trail signage in the world.
