Hewett’s Hill Campsite was named after Peter Hewett, a former Superintendent of the Forests Department in the 1970’s who was instrumental in giving the idea of the Bibbulmun Track the green light.

The campsite is also the first campsite from the Northern Terminus.

This walk (a little over 22km) is for fit and experienced walkers only. The pace on this walk is generally faster and the breaks somewhat shorter than intermediate style walks. If you have any doubts please consider booking on an intermediate walk. The campsite has water and a toilet (byo toilet paper!).

The best part of booking an event with us is that all profits go back to the maintenance of the Bibbulmun Track – you should be proud!

Included perks:

  • Expert advice from the Bibb Track specialists.
  • Trained and experienced Bibb Track guides.
  • A fun and social atmosphere to enjoy the Bibb and get to know other walkers.

Please ensure you have read and understood the booking conditions before you proceed with this booking.

Once you have booked, watch for the automated email with instructions on how to download the event information, or see our website help page.

Hi, I’m Arthur. I not only love the Bibbulmun Track but I’m incredibly proud that we have this amazing long-distance hike here in WA. I’ve been hiking on the Track since 2005 and I’ve been a member of the Bibbulmun Track Foundation since then. I’m a sectional volunteer, and I’m lucky enough to have the Woolbales campsite just north of Walpole included in the section I help look after. I like sharing my enthusiasm for “the Bibb” with people who are curious about it, want to give it a try and want to learn more about hiking.

I am a member of the Bibbulmun Track Foundation since 2017, and I completed my end-to-end in April 2022. I love the Track and take every opportunity to be out there with family and friends. I enjoy being a volunteer guide as I get to share my passion for hiking, the bush and nature with you.
