Realignments & Alternative Routes
Southampton Rd to Blackwood Campsite
A realignment has been made south of the Southampton Rd/Spring Gully Rd intersection.
The Track no longer ascends on the north side of the fence line from Southampton Rd. Follow the markers on the route. Updated Track notes for Guidebook 4 are provided on the Guidebook Updates page (see under ''Shop'' tab).
Diversions & Other Impacts
Campfire bans in place
Location: South of Balingup
Campfire bans are now in place at all campsites in this section (including Gregory Brook and Blackwood campsites).
No open fires may be lit whatsoever.
Walkers must use only fuel stoves for cooking.
The campfire ban will remain in place at least until March 2019 and may be extended depending on weather conditions.
A reminder that Blackwood Campsite is a no fire site and campfires are not permitted there at any time of year.
On certain days, a total fire ban may be in force where walkers are not permitted to light a fuel stove either.

Prescribed burn diversion
Location: Between Gregory Brook campsite and Donnelly River Village - Willow Springs
The Bibbulmun Track is closed for 7km between Gregory Brook campsite and Donnelly River Village due to prescribed burning.
A 7km diversion along Guy Road and Stallard Road is in place.
The original route will remain closed until declared safe.
For your safety stay on the marked diversion, adhere to and follow all signage and instructions from Parks and Wildlife and other emergency staff.
