Walking the Bibbulmun – September to November 2019

This is a record of the science stories told as the Walking Scientist completed an end-to-end on the Bibbulmun Track.

On 9 September 2019, the Walking Scientist embarked on a solo hike along the beautiful Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia, which runs 1000 kilometres from the ancient granite outcrops in the Kalamunda hills east of Perth right down to the whale-inhabited shores of Albany on the edge of the Southern Ocean. This is a record of the science stories told along the way as she chatted to the extraordinary and unique animals, plants and fungi in this corner of the world.
