It is a wonderful activity to do. Steve and the volunteers were excellent with the kids. Its s great way to introduce them to walking the Bibbulmun. Leanne – event participant

We have been members for 12 years and always enjoyed dreaming of joining a Foundation event. I'm not sure why it took so long but the food was delicious and it was great fun. Sue – event participant

Hi folks. I have been with the Foundation since 1997, when I first joined as a member and maintenance volunteer. I wanted to get involved in the 'new' Track after getting terribly lost on the 'old' Bibbulmun Track. From there I began leading walks and then came on staff in the office in 1999 as Events Manager and Lead Guide. I love walking and have done a few end-to-ends. I really get a kick out of sharing this passion with everyone. I am still a volunteer and look after Nerang Campsite. Come and join me on this event!

During the week a mild mannered public servant who will take any opportunity to get out on the Track, it’s a far better existence than my previous life sent deep under the Worlds Oceans - the scenery not great!! I have been walking the Track now for 15 years and have completed a sectional end to end a few years ago I also am a maintenance volunteer for the Mt Cuthbert and Mt Vincent sections.

Hi folks, I first got involved with the Bibbulmun Track as part of the group that helped plan the new alignment in the mid-90s and I was honoured to be the Founding Chairman of the BTF in 1997. As the owner of the WA Mountain Designs stores, I became the first corporate sponsor of the Foundation and helped to find its first home in the MD building in Hay St. I was lucky enough to be the second guide on the 10th Anniversary Walk in 2008. I have enjoyed many walks on various sections of the Bibb, both day walks and overnighters. I also spent many years trekking all over the world including in Nepal, Bhutan, Patagonia and many walking holidays in Europe and the UK. But I think the Bibbulmun is one of the best trails in the world and a wonderful asset for WA and really deserves the moniker of ‘world class’. I have always enjoyed encouraging and helping others to get out on the Track, no matter what age or experience. There is something personal and unique about spending time in the West Australian bush. I was privileged to be made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2020 for my work on the Bibbulmun and I still volunteer as a Board member and a guide.

Hi guys, I have been a member since 2009 when I started my sectional end-to-end. Since then, I’ve enjoyed many hikes on the Bibbulmun Track as well as tracks in Tasmania, NZ and Europe. I love the diverse experiences hiking can give you and I am looking forward to sharing my passion for it with you.
