PLB Weekly Hire

The PLBs for hire are the KTI SA2G which operate on the 406 MHz frequency, are waterproof, compact and weigh 140 grams. Check the specifications.

You may hire these for use anywhere within Australia or New Zealand only.

If you wish to hire a Personal Locating Beacon (PLB) you will need to complete the order form below and also agree to the PLB hire conditions.

Ensure we receive your booking preferably five business days prior to the start of the hire period.

Please read the PLB Instructions for Use before you take the PLB on your outdoor adventure.

Note that the PLBs are required to be registered to the user. All mandatory fields on the booking form must be completed before a hire will be approved. The Foundation will register the beacon for you. Read more.

Please book early! Our equipment is in high demand during the walking season (April to November). PLBs are often booked out months in advance.

We also suggest that you read the PLB User's Manual before your walk.
