It's always beautiful and relaxing to get out onto the track. We had magnificent weather too, perfect for walking. Really loved all the animals. What a treat to get so close to some of those beautiful animals. Simone, event participant.

My husband and I along with our 5 year old son thoroughly enjoyed this event. Every aspect of it was excellent from the volunteer guides to the extremely knowledgeable ladies from the Kanyana rescue centre. Steve whom we met at the campsite has a natural rapport with children - well done for being able to control such a large group for over an hour! Everyone contributed in making the afternoon very special for all the kids - I know our son will remember this experience for a very long time. We are already looking forward to booking again next year!

I booked my grandchildren aged 4 and 6 on this event along with my husband and daughter and they were all very impressed. The kids loved the experience and we all thought it was really well organised and the ladies from Kanyana amazing with their knowledge and the way they presented it getting the kids so involved. Thank you all so much.

Hi folks. I have been with the Foundation since 1997, when I first joined as a member and maintenance volunteer. I wanted to get involved in the 'new' Track after getting terribly lost on the 'old' Bibbulmun Track. From there I began leading walks and then came on staff in the office in 1999 as Events Manager and Lead Guide. I love walking and have done a few end-to-ends. I really get a kick out of sharing this passion with everyone. I am still a volunteer and look after Nerang Campsite. Come and join me on this event!

Hi! I’ve been walking the Track since the late 90’s, and like many, started slowly along the big hill curve of learning. A warning: the Bib is addictive. To me, being in the bush is a form of meditation. The whole Track is my favourite section but I must admit to being very fond of sitting on top of Mount Cooke, watching the eagles circle the skinks, and just soaking it all in. I enjoy sharing my love of the Track with novice walkers so hope to see you out there soon.

Hi! I have been interested in the bush since an early age and have walked small sections of the Track since its inception. Early years were spent taking family and Scout Groups on weekends camping and bush walking. I maintain a section south of Collie and walking the Track has given me a great deal of enjoyment. I was part of the 10th Anniversary Walk when I completed my first end-to-end. Since this time I have spent many hours, volunteering in the office and leading walks to ensure others know and enjoy the Bibbulmun Track as I do. My favourite is to catch a bus and spend my friendship with the bush for some days and slowly come back, to where it may take me!

In an effort to walk in the bush, I joined Bushwalkers WA in 2006. The love of wildness must be in my blood, because the first day walk I did in the bush had got me hooked. Since then I have walked here and there, interstate and overseas. I enjoy overnight multi-day walks most, and have managed to tick some of the well-known tracks in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe off my bucket list; but the track that I enjoyed most is our Bibbulmun Track. Moving along on it, I get a sense of freedom, and a degree of peace and tranquillity that is more than I was able to obtain from any other trails I have walked. I don’t know a long distant track that is like our Bibbulmun that is so well marked, with water and beautiful shelters located at comfortable distance intervals, and the use of all it has on offer is free. A track that has given me so much joy deserves my little effort in helping to keep it free for all to access and enjoy. I appreciate the opportunity to become a Track maintenance volunteer and volunteer guide for the Bibbulmun track Foundation.
