However, if you’re ready for some indoor time, then take in some history at the National ANZAC Centre, visit a gallery or dine at one of the many fantastic cafes and restaurants in the area – ask the hostel for their recommendations!
Albany is a very good spot for whale watching between June and September and you might be lucky enough now to catch the last of the migrating Southern Rights, or even a Blue if you are lucky. The hostel staff will know the best spots to get search for the gentle giants, so ask at reception. Hot tip: bring your binoculars.
