General Comments
What an amazing track. We are so lucky to have such a brilliant track in WA. Thank you to all those involved in keeping the track so well maintained.
Food/Supplies Comments
Mainly bought food in the track towns along the way. Only had a food drop in the long section from Kalamunda to Dwellinup and in Donnelly River. Track towns worked well for food apart from Peaceful Bay.
Favourite Section
The whole track is my favourite section. The bush was wonderful after the heavy winter rains.
Highlights
The rivers and creeks flowing well. Previously I have wondered why bridges had been built over dry creek beds. This trip I can understand the need for those bridges. The Bush was looking lush after all the winter rains.
Personal Reactions
Trust us to pick the wettest winter in a long time. I think we only had about a week of fine weather. Loved every moment of our wet walk!!!
Wildlife
On one of our many breaks we were lucky enough to have an inquisitive emu slowly walk in a semicircle around us checking us out. Brilliant.
