General Comments

During the wettest winter in 30 years… this was a tough one. Very grateful to have made it without tapping out and in one piece.

Food/Supplies Comments

Beans, beans and more beans, or Miso and Ramen noodles.
Fresh fruit and veg wrap’s out of towns through shorter sections.

Favourite Section

We enjoyed doing the northern sections for the first time.
There are fantastic bits throughout the walk but the weather makes or break most parts of the trail.

Highlights

Awesome luxurious zero days in a few towns. Making it the end. The people we met on the trail. Wading chest-deep through the Gardener river as it flowed down the Bibb. Making it around or through flowing river mouths.

Personal Reactions

Very grateful to have completed the E2E this time.
We feel very accomplished but are still traumatized by what we endured to get there.

Wildlife

Wallabies in the north.
Cockies throughout.
Roos in the coastal plains.
Owls near Pembie.

Your Best Equipment

Our ultralight gear was awesome.
Waterproof trails runners were great
All our gear was purpose-built and used so very happy with everything we took.

Your Worst Equipment

waterproof socks… don’t bother.

Advice for Others
