General Comments

Fabulous track to follow, felt confident all the way.

Food/Supplies Comments

Fell into a happy routine of home mixed muesli for breakfast, a good selection of home dehydrated meals for evening and town bought crackers and cheese for lunches.  Tea, coffee and milos went a long way to keeping up satisfaction levels!

Favourite Section

Without a doubt coming out of the forests into the wide horizons of the rugged south coast was wonderful.

Highlights

Fellow walkers, lovely to spend time with special people along the way.  Hoping to keep in touch with many.

Personal Reactions

Very lucky to have a special buddy who helped make it all possible.

Wildlife

Probably one of the only disappointing aspects to the track - not an over abundance of wildlife to be seen in many sections.  Birdlilfe in the Pemberton area is gorgeous.

Your Best Equipment

Poles and Kindle

Your Worst Equipment

Would like to upgrade my sleeping gear to lighter weight models. My self-inflating mattress and sleeping bag are bulky and weighty, had equipment envy seeing some of the sleek gear coming out of fellow walkers packs!

Advice for Others

Dehydrating food and doing track town drop offs is most definitely worth the effort.  Majority of track towns have limited supplies.  Most important advice of all though, is KEEP IT LIGHT!!
