General Comments
I was trying to determine whether it is harder to hike N to S or S to N. I’m not quite sure. I think south to north. Oh God, I will just have to do another north to south….. :-p
Food/Supplies Comments
Dehydrated my own food which I enjoyed and used certain towns for re-stocking things like tea and noodles. Loved the first cup of coffee when arriving in a town.
Favourite Section
I don’t have a favourite section. I love enjoying all the differences in flora and fauna from Albany through to Kalamunda.
Highlights
I got to meet Wendy Nelson and her daughter Molly. Lovely ladies. Hope to see them again in the future. Keep hiking ladies.
Personal Reactions
I have completed an E2E 3 times now. N2S, S2N and sectional. I can say it, won’t be the last time. I love being out there.
Wildlife
Saw an eagle taking off in flight….magnificent.
Was saddened to see a young kangaroo which was blind and discarded by mummsy. I couldn’t get close enough to do anything. I always get a laugh at the emus when they run away.
Your Best Equipment
Tried out new AKU Boots for this E2E. Comfortable and not one blister. The soles have excellent grip.
Your Worst Equipment
Was happy with all of my equipment.
Advice for Others
If you choose to do an E2E, then prepare yourself well and enjoy the hike. The rest of the world will be there waiting when you have finished…..no stress.
