I had a good mix of home dried main meals and lunch spreads (hummus, tapenade) and good bought along the way.

Peaceful Bay to Northcliffe.
Highlights
Walking with my kids in the first sections. Meeting incredibly interesting and friendly people along the way. The solitude. The birds. The cafes.
Personal Reactions
I found the karri forest sections most challenging, especially camping alone. I realised how much I respond to sunlight.
Wildlife
Snakes, birds, roos, wallabies. Mice.
Your Best Equipment
A toss up between my La Sportiva shoes (I finished with no blisters and 10 toenails), and my Gossamer Gear pack.
Your Worst Equipment
N/A - anything I didn’t use got sent home.
Advice for Others
Plan a lot but be flexible, leave time at the end of your walk so that you can sit out bad weather, savour every moment. Even when it’s bad, it’s better than being in an office.
