General Comments
The Track is truly a glorious thing, physically & mentally challenging, set in such a beautiful environment.
Food/Supplies Comments
Dehydrated most meals & posted ahead to booked accommodation.
Favourite Section
Each part had its own splendour but I think if I had to nominate an area it would be around Walpole in Tingle territory.
Highlights
The magnificent Karri & Tingle trees.
The people you meet are fantastic, there’s quite a few characters out there! The camaraderie with other walkers is very special.
Personal Reactions
I started my end to end to end initially on my own, I was going through a very difficult time in my life. I finished it with Peter who is a lovely walking companion. It was a more light-hearted experience walking with him.
Wildlife
Snakes! Saw lots, particularly in the southern coastal section. Pete had rather an up close encounter with one. Beautiful kangaroos & their offspring.
Your Best Equipment
Thermal sleeping bag liner & noise cancelling earplugs!
Your Worst Equipment
Heavy pack, heavy cooker & 2 kg first aid kit. I updated & cut weight significantly before starting the Track again.
Advice for Others
Pack light.
