Amazed by the lack of hikers at each campsite. 75% of shelters I was the only person there!

The 7 Visitor Information Centres had all received and kept my dehydrated food supplies.

Highlights
Getting lost following large cairns on Abyssinia Rock for 2.5 hours when the smaller cairns were the ones I should have followed.
Personal Reactions
Lost over 10kg even though I was eating double portions of food.
Wildlife
Emus screaming at each other during the night at Schafer took a while to get used to.

Thermal clothing, 2 poles, waterproof jacket.
Your Worst Equipment
Floppy sunhat instead of peak hat.

Travel light - I carried 25kg pack.
