General Comments

We met so many voluntary maintainers on the Track. Its unbelievable - they drive more than 800km to clean up after prescribed burns. (Schafer campsite). They really do a great job. Thanks so much!

Food/Supplies Comments

We resupplied in the general stores at the track towns. Also Balingup and Donnelly River Village is basic. No reason for food drops.

Favourite Section

Denmark to Walpole.

Highlights

Wedge-tailed eagles at Boonerring Hill. Coffee in the food box at Dog Pool shelter.

Personal Reactions

“1000 km? That’s unbelievable! You must have seen more of the Australian bush than most Australian did!”

Wildlife

The birds are great. Take time to watch them. Also great: the shelter bandicoot at Torbay shelter.

Your Best Equipment

La Sportiva Ultra Raptor shoes with Wrighbox socks.

Your Worst Equipment

Thermarest Neoair Xlite mattress.
