I love summer walking. I’ll always prefer it over anything colder/ cooler. I’d rather be wet from sweat than rain.
Food/Supplies Comments
Good enough in all the places to take you through the Track. You might not find your food favourites or a big variety all over. So just do food drops - or ‘suffer’ a little!

Been through it all before so just pleasant anticipation and enjoyment.
Wildlife
Roos, wallabies, emus, cockatoos, parakeets, snakes, just one skink ... but NO echidna.
Your Best Equipment
My (inner) tent: allows for flexibility and provides protection ( & privacy).
Your Worst Equipment
Nothing I can think of - I just know by now what works for me and what to avoid .
Advice for Others
Don’t believe the gear gurus: you don’t really need ALL that stuff, just keep things simple and your pack light! And, of course: there’s no ‘one’ or ‘right’ way to go through the Track. Whatever suits your needs is fine!
