General Comments
A wonderful way to spend my long-service leave from work.
Food/Supplies Comments
Bought a dehydrator and loved the meals that we sent in fooddrops, so much nicer than the packaged bought food we’ve used previously. The towns mostly had good restocking for snacks/breakfast and lunch foods.
Favourite Section
Very hard to chose one! Favourite day was Woolbales to Mt Clare for it’s amazing variety and was absolutely stunning all day.
Highlights
The amount of time spent in this beautiful part of the country was a very rare gift that this hike provided. The wonderful hiking lifestyle and getting back to basics and in tune with nature. Enjoying all the simple pleasures of life! We had a lovely quiet time with more than half campsites to ourselves, which made meeting people more of a highlight too when we did.
Personal Reactions
Loved the time to get slowly fitter and stronger and more relaxed.
Wildlife
So many snakes! But still amazing to see so much variety of wildlife day-to-day.
Your Best Equipment
My faithful trekking pole is always near the top of the list. Lighter weight tent, mattresses and sleeping bags were a good purchase for this long hike.
Your Worst Equipment
Thankfully nil to note!
Advice for Others
Take your time if you can…it’s still over before you know it and you’ll see and savour so much more.
