General Comments
Alison Stephenson was another March Girl who completed the Track at the same time.
Food/Supplies Comments
We bought dehydrated meals and Clif bars from Snowys who then delivered food drops to various post offices and visitors centres along the way - great service that worked really well for us.
Favourite Section
The southern coast - maybe my perception was coloured by the elation of having nearly completed the walk!
Highlights
The generosity of the people on the track and in the towns along the way. I loved the granite slabs, wild flowers and coastal scenery.
Wildlife
I didn’t see as many birds as I expected. I saw an echidna and just a few snakes - which was plenty!
Your Best Equipment
MSR windburner gas stove - very light, compact and efficient.
Your Worst Equipment
Inflatable pillow - it kept sliding out from under my head so I gave up using it - folded up clothes in a bag were much more successful.
Advice for Others
Plan your food well and test your footwear before starting. Be prepared for rain and cold as well as the sun!
