General Comments
Wet, cold and lots of fun. We loved the whole hike, appreciated the track maintenance, the shelters, the signage and the people who hike the Track.
Food/Supplies Comments
We dehydrated most of our own food, and ending up ditching the bought stuff. Get a dehydrator, your own food is best.
Favourite Section
Balingup to Pemberton.
Highlights
The karri and tingle forests, splashing for days in the Pingerup Plains and walking the beach sections.
Personal Reactions
Better than we both dreamed it could be, sad to cross the line in Albany.
Wildlife
Being so cold and wet we only saw five snakes, had no ticks, no flies, few mosquitos. Our constant companions were our protective guides, the kangaroos!
Your Best Equipment
AARN backpacks, anything made by Sea to Summit.
Your Worst Equipment
Nothing really, we prepared well and only took quality equipment.
Advice for Others
Focus on the journey, not the destination. And be thankful for what is there.
