General Comments
Thank you for maintaining such an iconic track. The shelters were fantastic to arrive at after each day’s walk. The facility to also stay in the towns along the way was superb. This Track is a credit to all of the volunteers and staff who look after it. I was amazed at how much the fires have impacted most of the forests we walked through.
Food/Supplies Comments
Our 5 food drops of dehydrated and other food worked very well.
Favourite Section
It was all superb but walking along the coast into Albany provided great views and surprises around each headland.
Highlights
The high standard of the campsites and the Track itself. Meeting like-minded people everyday on the Track.
Personal Reactions
This was a great way to enjoy 2 months of solitude and peacefulness in the Australian bush away from our our bustling cities.
Wildlife
It was great to see so many kangaroos along the Track together with the smaller birds around the campsites when we stopped.
Your Best Equipment
My hat, walking shoes and trekking poles.
Your Worst Equipment
Pack liner, very difficult to pack it effectively and efficiently.
Advice for Others
Keep up to date on track conditions (ask other track walkers). Take your time and enjoy the experience.
