General Comments
It was a fantastic experience overall and one I recommend to all especially West Australians - we don’t need passports, airfares, to change currencies, dodge snipers, evade bears and lions or skirt landmines. It is right on our doorstep and it takes you to some of the most amazing sights that are truly world class. Get out there!
Food/Supplies Comments
I recommend two minutes noodles combined with Deb instant potato with some beef jerky added for protein.
Favourite Section
The Pingerup Plains.
Highlights
The amazing landscapes of the Pingerup Plains, some of the logs in the karri forest that were covered in mosses and lichens of all colours and shapes, the views along the south coast and seeing a shelter at the end of a section.
Personal Reactions
It was hard to do, but well worth it for the sights you see and the sense of accomplishment.
Wildlife
It was great to see wallabies, kangaroos, snakes and many birds. Not so great to see pigs.
Your Best Equipment
Walking poles.
Your Worst Equipment
Poor quality boots.
