General Comments
One of the best experiences of my life so far. I loved all my time on the Track, even when the mozzies were biting and my feet were hurting. The solitude and peace of the Track are hard to find in today’s world and it was so nice to experience the simplicity of life on the Track.
Food/Supplies Comments
I posted supply boxes to each track town and it worked really well! When I did need to buy supplies, the track friendly businesses were very helpful.
Favourite Section
Denmark to Walpole.
Highlights
Crossing inlet in canoes, a rest day spent at Donnelly River with a fantastic group of walkers and Munda Biddi cyclists, arriving at Murray campsite on a stinking hot day and floating in the river to cool off, a surprise visit from my maun as I walking into Dwellingup.
Personal Reactions
The Track has taught me a lot about myself and what is important in life. When you remove all the distractions, the things you miss are what is really important.
Wildlife
Amazing! I loved seeing black cockatoos, blue wrens, kangaroos…They became a part of my track life, but I was still excited every time I spotted and animal.
Your Best Equipment
My new backpack made such a big difference. My shoes, for not giving me blisters.
Your Worst Equipment
I missed not having my camera - the phone seemed a poor substitute at times.
Advice for Others
Spend some time on the Bibbulmun in any way, shape or form you can. Its good for the mind, body and soul.
