General Comments
Completing The Pacific Crest Trail (Mexico to Canada 4,286 km) in 2013 was an amazing experience. The origins of wanting to do a long distance trail such as The PCT began very early in my childhood when my Dad would take my sister and I out to the Kalamunda Terminus of The Bibbulmun Track to hike very short sections of the track.
So to be able to come back to my home town of Perth and hike The Bibbulmun Track End to End as an adult is a life long dream come true. One that I am very fortunate to be able to do.
Food/Supplies Comments
TVP! (textured vegetable protein) meat substitute. Great energy when mixed in with cous cous, veggies and spices. Yum love it. Ate it for the entire month.
Favourite Section
Chadoora Hut into Dwellingup, The Virgin Jarrah trees are beautiful.
Highlights
Hiking the final 15km from Sandpatch carpark into Albany with my sister by my side. She had flown over from Sydney to be with me for the finish of my End to End. Just amazingly special.
Wildlife
Skippy never get tired of hiking next to skippy.
Your Best Equipment
Silvia Compass 1-2-3, never trust your innate sense of direction. The burn sections proved to be tricky to navigate through especially at night time. The trail was very hard to find. My compass was my saviour a few times, i love it.
