A very special thank you to my lovely Chris who’s support was incredible and who willingly ran around buying replacement equipment and supplies.
Food/Supplies Comments
Dehydrated normal meals, eg Pad Thai, lamb stew, beef stroganoff. Dropped off at stop-overs pre-walks. Posted ‘town gear’ to ‘day off’ towns.

Kalamunda to Albany.
Highlights
White Horse Hills, Chinamans Gully, Southern Coastline. Morning bird call to wake up to, incredible wildflowers - new ones almost every day. Regrowths on Mt Cooke after last years fire. Reading “Fat chick goes AWOL” and Douglas’s entries in the registers. Walking into Albany.

Incredible nervous prior to starting, excited and wondrous walking into Albany. Amazing support from family and friends.
Wildlife
41 roos, 20 snakes, red & white tail cockatoos, 4 bobtails, dolphins, blue & variegated wrens, fantails, rufus whistlers, emus, eagles, unidentified midnight critter.
Your Best Equipment
New down sleeping bag - toasty warm on -4 degree night at Brookton.
Your Worst Equipment
Thermal pants after shrinking them in the dryer!
Advice for Others
Do it! - and at your own pace and in your own time. Get as much advice as possible, concentrate on the journey not the destination.
