General Comments
Thoroughly enjoyed the track and huts along the way. Disappointed that a diversion wasn’t in place for the ‘closed’ section between Balingup and the Brockman Hwy. Although this wasn’t a problem for me, there were stories of people doing some dangerous things in order to walk through when no alternative was provided.
Food/Supplies Comments
Used food drops in the towns along the way, mainly at the tourist information centres which worked well. A word of warning however, mice had got into the box at the Balingup tourist centre ruining most of the food.
Favourite Section
Long Point campsite to the Deep River suspension bridge through Nuyts Wilderness. The blustery conditions of the day suited the landscape.
Highlights
Double hutting through the ‘closed’ section between Balingup and the Brockman Hwy so I could spend an extra day in Donnelly River with my family.
Your Best Equipment
My Warbonnet Blackbird hammock. An extremely comfortable way to sleep and the most talked about piece of equipment I took with me.
