General Comments
Being on the track is like being in a different world, no hassles, complete scene changes regularly and great challenges.
Food/Supplies Comments
We planned re-supply point with friends/family assisting. Dwellingup is a bit limited but other towns are great.
Favourite Section
Donnelly River Village to Albany. The karris, tingles and the coast.
Highlights
Friends walking with us, surprising us by appearing unannounced and bringing great lunches, chocolates and wine. People we met along the way and the fellowship they provided.
Personal Reactions
I felt very humble that others saw our achievement as such an awesome achievement - for me the track offers personal challenges, solitude, fellowship and amazing scenery.
Wildlife
Kangaroo, red tail black cockatoos, dunnarts, emus, snakes, rabbits, lizards, lots of wrens and other birds.
Your Best Equipment
“Flame thrower” lighter - $2 for 1 or 2 depending on where you can get them - so easy to use. Also my walking poles saved me many times
Advice for Others
Make sure you plan well if an “End to End” is your goal, include training in track meals, navigation, have a good support team, gradually increase your training and select your time to start well.
