General Comments

Much harder than I thought it would be. However, the wonderful people we met along the way and lifetime memories I shared with my very good friend “Lucky"Lorraine was worth all the pain.

Food/Supplies Comments

Great food at all the trek towns. Special mention to the Donnelly River shop for their amazing pumpkin scones and the Camel cafe for our much needed free scone and coffee at the end. Now I somehow need to stop eating scones!

Favourite Section

Pemberton to Ballingup. Especially the Blackwood Campsite.

Highlights

Everyday. Even when it was raining and cold.

Personal Reactions

Feeling overwhelmingly lucky to live in such an amazing country.

Wildlife

Kangaroos, echidnas, snakes, lizards, so many beautiful birds, mice, possums, emus…....

Your Best Equipment

My 1 man tent.

Your Worst Equipment

My stupid sea to summit mat that had no warmth or comfort!

Advice for Others

Don’t rush. Stay in the trek towns and meet the locals.
