General Comments
What an adventure over six years, we did many day walks weekenders and a few longer sections including eight days from Northcliffe to Walpole. Had an absolute blast meeting people and sharing stories.
Defiantly planning to go again and for hopefully longer sections.
Food/Supplies Comments
We tried dehydrating our own but didn’t have much success so mainly used commercial products and fresh produce on the shorter walks.
Favourite Section
Many and varied, but if I had to pick I would say DVR to Pemby, followed closely by the Dwellingup area.
Highlights
Eight days from Northcliffe to Walpole was a true highlight carrying everything we needed and some.
Personal Reactions
A massive sense of accomplishment, and the strengthened bond with our friends that we hiked a large amount of the track with.
Wildlife
Plenty of Roos, including one eating a bone. Lots of Emus and other birdlife. I love the wrens around Dwellingup. There was also whales and seals on the south coast.
Your Best Equipment
Surprisingly my trail runners, I was always a boot man for my previous hiking and for about a third of the Bib, I don’t think I will ever go back.
Your Worst Equipment
A solar panel power bank combo that I took for one weekend. It was to heavy for very little gain. I gave it away.
Advice for Others
Just get out there and do it, you don’t need fancy expensive equipment to try a weekend or two.
