A very tough hike, with great signage, great huts and lovely people.

I got supplies in trek towns and they had everything I needed.

Walpole to Denmark.
Highlights
Canoes, the Sea and Whales.
Personal Reactions
Physically very demanding and mentally challenging. did it on too short/tight time table.
Wildlife
Surprisingly very little, saw one snake tail, lots of birds, a few roos and whales.
Your Best Equipment
Luci Light, two S Hooks joined with fishing line (Rat Stopper).
Your Worst Equipment
gaiters as not water proof.
Advice for Others
Make sure you give yourself plenty of time and flexibility.
