General Comments
The Bibb is a wonderful track, very well organised and with variety of scenery and terrains, in particular the magnificent forests. I have been wanting to do this hike for a long time and I was not disappointed. The people of WA are very lucky to have this wonderful resource.
Food/Supplies Comments
We resupplied along the way at the track towns and didn’t do any food drops. The towns were in general well supplied for our needs, some better than others. However, it was difficult to get a variety of vegetarian/vegan food.
Favourite Section
Difficult to choose, but probably Dwellingup to Kalamunda.
Highlights
The giant tingle/karri forests, the rugged coastal shoreline and the hills of the Darling Ranges.
Personal Reactions
Doing this hike with my daughter was a wonderful bonding experience which we will both cherish forever. At the end I felt physically and mentally great. It was a very satisfying sense of achievement which only felloe end-to-enders can fully understand.
Wildlife
We saw a lot of kangaroos, about 25 snakes and a few emus in the wild.
Your Best Equipment
Osprey Ultima 60 and Nemo Hornet 2p tent.
Your Worst Equipment
Denali water bottle. Sea to Summit gaiters.
Advice for Others
Just do it. Preparation is important but don’t over think it. Hike your own hike. Doing S to N E2E starting march was a good choice.
