Wonderful experience; superb track; fantastic diversity of terrain and flora and fauna. Great shelter. Socially interesting and rewarding; lasting friendship.

Loved the trail towns; no supply problems. Postal service brilliant for food parcels.

Whales, emus, echidnas, tiger snakes, Denmark, wildflowers, wild south coast storms, granite domes.

Personal Reactions

Privileged to have walked this trail and gratitude to those that made/make it possible.

Wildlife

Identified 90+ bird species; grew to like snakes, never tired of kangaroos and bobtail lizards.

All gear lightweight including shoes.

Your Worst Equipment

Puttees - not needed.

Advice for Others

Weigh every item, weed out every unneeded item, replace every heavy item!!!
