General Comments
An awesome adventure. Able to connect in a very deep spiritual way through the amazing diversity and beauty of the Track. The peace & serenity have seeped into my very being, and I will be forever enriched by this experience.
Food/Supplies Comments
We dehydrated and prepared all our food. After 103 days I came to ‘dread’ the sameness of our food parade.
Favourite Section
The beautiful open jarrah forests.
Highlights
A frog wanted to share my sleeping bag. The tremendous power of the crashing waves. A very embarrassed seal who was ‘dumped’ by a wave. Outrunning waves at high tides. Sand surfing down the dunes at Mandalay.
Personal Reactions
Perfect weather, perfect time of the year to walk. Met lots of fabulous people. The track is in excellent condition. Can’t wait to go again.
Wildlife
One dead snake, a dead whale, a dead dolphin, a dead fox and a dead roo. LIVE - roos, emus, 11 snakes, quendas, quokkas, eagles, frogs, mice, 1 feral pig, seals.
Your Best Equipment
Trekking poles and the ‘Billy’, and Fixomul.
Your Worst Equipment
Rain pants which were 4 sizes too big for me! And my feet.
