General Comments

A wonderful experience with lots of time to reflect as you observe the landscape, vegetation and wildlife merge from one to the next as you progress along the track.  With the track so well marked in an unobtrusive way I felt secure and thankful to all involved. The social interaction with fellow walkers was always welcome and stimulating (fun too). The physical benefits are great - lost weight and gained fitness.
Thanks to the many Volunteers who work on the track.

Food/Supplies Comments

Kalamunda to Gringer Creek - a very long stretch to carry that much food.  Supplies at North Bannister nil - food box essential.  Balingup was a bit light on certain types of food. For the remainder quite adequately restocked.

Favourite Section

Donnelly River Village to Beedalup.

Highlights

I loved walking through the majestic Karri trees with the lovely Donnelly river never too far away.  Maidenhair fern carpeted the banks of the river in some places.

Personal Reactions

A tremendous sense of achievement and release from the stress of city life.

Wildlife

Not as much as I though there would be (I think they heard me first and took off).

Your Best Equipment

Boots - although they are nearly ‘had it’ now.

Your Worst Equipment

Heavy pack (24 kg).

Advice for Others

Make sure you lighten your load.  Make use of the trip planning service (which I did not do).
