General Comments
Keep your eye out for a hairy bearded sandal and sock wearing walker. I’m doing it again!
Food/Supplies Comments
The usual - tuna, noodle and Deb potato. Sundried tomatoes a must - the oil is excellent to use in dampers and meals. Instant puddings.
Favourite Section
Mount Cooke. Walpole to Denmark.
Highlights
The bench seat overlooking the cliffs and ocean at West Cape Howe. A spectacular full moon over Pingrup Plains.
Personal Reactions
It was a great feeling to know that I didn’t have to walk the next day - but my mind was walking the track for months afterwards.
Wildlife
A curious quenda ate my Snickers. The splendid wren quickly became my favourite bird
Your Best Equipment
Mack sandals.
Your Worst Equipment
Having too much dried (easy) foods.
Advice for Others
Celebrate every chance you get. Every 100km, every week on the track, every 10 day block of time. Reward yourself every chance you get. I made myself the thickest, nicest puddings I could .. a few swigs of Vodka hits the spot too.
