General Comments
Because I was living in Paraburdoo it took about 6 sections to complete. Walked some of it solo and used Public Transport. Also did a few food drops.I have yet to walk all of the new Bibbulmun Track, but I helped to survey and mark about 250 kms of it
Food/Supplies Comments
Generally carried 4 to 6 days food. Great improvement made in tents and sleeping bags since the mid 1970’s
Favourite Section
Collie River area and Pemberton forest areas
Highlights
Meeting other walkers (very few in 1980) and the local along the way. Early misty mornings and lots of beautiful water courses. The minus was that about half the track is on roads.
Personal Reactions
Although not the most spectacular scenery I’ve seen, the WA native flora was great
Wildlife
Lots of wildlife when off the roads, much of it was not disturbed by one bushwalker
Your Best Equipment
My home made Metho cooker - I still use it.
Your Worst Equipment
Sleeping Bag
