General Comments
Too many obstacles along the Track need clearing. Shelters would benefit from bark or woodchips to keep the dust down.
Food/Supplies Comments
I found lots of places to stock up along the way.
Favourite Section
Frankland to Giants.
Highlights
Tingle trees, all the orchids and wildflowers. Coastal views. Handfeeding Bob the bandicoot at Torbay and being bitten for my efforts. I found a seahorse on the beach and put it back into the water.
Personal Reactions
A great challenge - in the beginning I was ready to catch a bus back home because the distances between campsites seemed to much.
Wildlife
Emus, roos, frogs, bush rat, bandicoot (Bob), mardoo, tiger snakes and 18 inch long pale green snakes with a dark head.
Your Best Equipment
Flynet for hat, tape and bandaids for blisters.
Advice for Others
Prepare well - fitness wise. Don’t over stock with food you have to carry it!
