General Comments
In July 2007 I attempted to do the End to End, unfortunately I had to throw in the towel in Balingup, due to spurs in both heels and a bad cold. It rained nearly every day on that journey.
Food/Supplies Comments
I relied on whatever I could get in towns I came through. Even the Donnelly River shop is now well stocked for hikers needs
Favourite Section
Mt Cooke rates highly in my opinion
Highlights
A big black snake lying on the track scaring every walker passing through that day (near Rame head). Yes it was alive
Personal Reactions
I found it useful and safe walking when chicke wire had been nailed over wooden bridges - slipping on wet planks is very easy.
Wildlife
A monitor lizard I had followed along the track trying to get a photo, spat the dummy turned and threatened me. Scarey
Your Best Equipment
Walking poles and my flynet
Advice for Others
Walk at your own pace and don’t try to keep up with others
